Frome is a the fourth largest town in Somerset of around 25,000 residents with an excellent range of shopping and recreational facilities, including post office, schools, markets, delicatessen, bakery, butchers, florists, pubs, surgeries and sport centre.
Communications Frome is on the Bristol - Weymouth train line with connections available to London. National Express coaches run daily to Frome from London.
Schools The town has access to a wide selection of excellent private and state schools including Warminster School, Kings Bruton, Bruton School For Girls, Sunnyhill Preparatory School, Sexeys School and coaches to several of the schools in Bath including King Edwards School, Kingswood School and the Royal High School For Girls.
Landscape Frome is built on high ground above the River Frome, which is crossed by the 16th century town bridge in the town centre. The Mendip Hills lie to the west of the town. Although the royal forest of Selwood no longer exists, the nearby countryside is still richly wooded, for example on the Longleat, Maiden Bradley and Stourhead estates. Surrounding picturesque villages include Horningsham, Maiden Bradley, Beckington, Orchardleigh, Buckland Dinham, Chantry & Mells.
