Sherborne Located on the Dorset & Somerset border, Sherborne once occupied a strategic location and was the Saxon capital of Wessex. It still has reminders of its importance in the shape of an abbey and two castles. The novelist Thomas Hardy re-named in Sherton Abbas in his book Woodlanders. It is a busy business and market centre for a wide area with a delightful shopping centre.
Communications Sherborne has excellent communication links via the mainline rail network link into London/Waterloo and the A303 7 miles to the north.
